How do I display the Print Preview toolbar in Powerpoint 2003

Not sure how I turned this off. I used to be able to see it. I can see it in
other Office 2003 programs. I ran Office update from Microsoft.com and have
no fixes to apply.

Click View Toolbars > Customize.
Click Options tab. See if the "Show Standard and Formatting toolbars on two
rows" is checked. If it isn't, check it.

If the Print Preview command still does not appear, click View > Toolbars >
Customize.
Click on the Commands tab.
You will now see two list. Categories and Commands List.
Select File on Categories.
On Commands list, look for Print Preview.
Click and hold down Print Preview, then drag it out of the dialog box, and
place it on the toolbar.
Is that what you want?

Thanks for the quick response.
Unfortunately this didn't do what I want. I have a Print Preview icon on the
Formatting toolbar. It does the same thing as File - Print Preview. The Print
Preview toolbar isn't displayed (it has items like Print, Print what, Zoom,
Color/Greyscale, etc)

While in Print Preview right-click the toolbar
area->customise->toolbars->tick Print Preview.

Hi Lucy,
Unfortunately this didn't work either. I clicked the area where the Print
Preview toolbar should be but nothing happens. Although I do get a print
preview (displaying slides or notes or handouts ... whatever is selected in
File - Print) the only thing there is the Windows blue border. When I right
click on that I get the usual Windows pop-up with options Restore, Minimize,
Maximize, Close.
I tried running a repair of Office 2003, no change.
I tried removing and re-installing Office 2003, no change.
I'm running the trial version of Office 2003. Perhaps the Print Preview
toolbar has been turned off in Powerpoint

Hmmmm. Have you tried 'Reset menu and toolbar usage data' available from
Tools->Customise->Options? I can't test as it won't let turn the
printpreview toolbar off and I can't find it anywhere else.....

Thanks for the suggestion. Still no luck.
I tried Print Preview in Word 2003. It has a Print Preview toolbar that can
be turned on/off by right clicking the toolbar area and checking Print
Preview.
I tried Print Preview in Excel 2003. It has a Print Preview toolbar which
cannot be turned off
Given these I'm fairly sure I have the right Windows printer (I thought that
Print Preview should be affected by the Windows printer)
I tried View - Toolbarsw- Customize (following an earlier suggestion). I
tried to create a new toolbar called Print Preview and got an error msg that
it already exists (although it isn't in the list of toolbars). I created a
new toolbar and added the buttons the Print Preview toolbar should have. In
Print Preview this toolbar is displayed. When I right click on it a menu is
displayed with a Customize option. I selected this, I get a display similar
to View - Toolbars - Customize. 3 things are listed in the Toolbars tab,
Print Preview, Shortcut Menus, Custom 1. I try selecting Print Preview but
only get a Windows "ding".
If I closee this toolbar in Normal view it does not display in Print Preview
but this is acceptable. I have a work around for now.
BTW - I'm studying Powerpoint 2003 to take the MOS exam which I plan to do
in the next 2 weeks.
