How do i display the margins on the page?

when I open a new document in word 2007 the page is blank. how do i set the
page so that it always shows the margins? thank your for your help, Dennis.

If you click in the page it SHOULD show the margins...
 
Office Button | Word Options | Advanced: Show document content: Show text
boundaries.

Turn on Office button > Word Options > Advanced category > Show document
content group > "Show text boundaries".
