how do I display TEXT on top of a movie file

I am creating a Power Point presentation and using a mwv file for an animated
background (abstract colors). When I create TEXT and try to have them show
on top of the background they will not display. I have tried the ORDER
(bring to back, etc.) but cannot get the TEXT to display when the slide plays.
Thanks for anything you can tell me about this.
