Bud P.

I am trying to disable XP firewall so that I can install
Norton Personal Firewall. This is as instructed by
Norton User's Guide. I do not use AOL. AOL did come
with my computer, but I deleted it and installed MSN 8.
I get the Control Panel up and click on Network
Connections. I then right click on the connection I want
to disable the firewall and get a box with Properties
down at the bottom. This is all well and good, per
instructions. When I click on Properties to bring up the
Properties box with the Advanced tab, the box goes away
completely, but Properties box never appears.
Consequently, I cannot get to the Advanced tab to uncheck
the XP firewall. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks.
