Was looking in Task Manager and noted IE is sitting there being my #2 memory
hog (virtual).

I use FireFox now, so how can I keep IE from using so much virtual memory?

Don't launch it in the first place?

Hi RB,
Click Start >> Double click Control Panel >> Add/Remove Programs >> Click on
Set Programs Access and Default, make sure the IE not your Default Browser.
While there in the Add/Remove click on Add/Remove Windows components and
uncheck the Internet Explorer from there.
I hope you don't mean Explorer.exe as this Different from Iexplore.exe
HTH.

IE is what I was I was looking for a way to disable. While we're on this
topical area, what is Explore.exe? Is that Windows Explorer? It was next
under IE for using a lot of virtual memory.

Yes, explorer.exe is Windows Explorer. Don't remove it.
