Well Master Jedi, the force is not with you today. The monitor, if it
is in fact a ViewSonic VA902b as you claim has a native resolution of
1280x1024 and an optimized resolution of 1280x1024 and is compatible
(PC) with VGA up to 1280x1024. However, if you have not told your OS
what monitor is attached (i.e. you didn't use the ViewSonic Wizard CD,
XP is not aware of this little factoid.
Your video driver, from another one of your post in this thread is a
catalyst 5.10 or maybe catalyst 5.11 or maybe catalyst 5.12, or maybe
you have downloaded catalyst 5.13 by now, which is cool but if you
don't know, don't expect most of the people, who really can help you,
to waste their time doing what you obviously don't care enough to do
yourself...
You still haven't bothered to tell us what your video card is.
Obviously you feel its compatible with the Catalyst 5.10 (et. al.)
driver.
I can tell you how to do it and you could easily do it. But keep in
mind, that if you p_ss us off with your attitude and lack of apparent
interest in helping us help you, the advice you get could either be
misleading or more likely incomplete. Such as, I personally have
extensive experience of pushing TFT active matrix SXGA LCD displays
way past their manufacturer's specified optimum resolution, and the
results can be spectacular and permanent. You could end up with a $340
cdn paperweight. So it is in your best interest to ask questions
politely and answer them as completely as you would like your question
answered.
One other minor point, vary poor grammar, to use the words Ha, fact,
and should in the same sentence.
1. What is the make and model of you Video Card?
2. Have you installed any ViewSonic utilities or drivers?
3. Have you read and do you understand the User Guides of your
monitor, video card, and Catalyst 5.10/11/12 ATI Driver?
| HAHA. I know for a fact my new ViewSonic should be able to handle
that
| resolution because it did handle 1600x1200 nicley. The one time i
somehow
| managed to get it to display in that resolution that is.
