When I plug in my new USB PC Card into my laptop, Windows XP Pro,
automatically installs the drivers for it. However, I do not want to use
those drivers as the device does not work properlly with them.

How can I have windows ask me what drivers I want to use.

Or, how can I change the drivers already intalled (when I ask it to roll
back, or update drivers, it says it cannot find new drivers in the selected
location (cd drive where I have my drivers). (my drivers are older).

Thanks,

You could try going to C:\Windows\System32\Drivers Folder. Create a new
folder there and move all the
drivers that start with usb, there's about eleven of them into the new
folder. Restart and see if XP allows
you to load your usb drivers.

You can temporarily disable the file protection by adding the driver to the
excluded file list in ...system32\Restore\filelist.xml (I don't recall if a
reboot is required). Once the new driver is replaced, removing it from the
excluded list will enable file protection until the next Windows Update.
