I have a Compaq Presario 2100 laptop running WinXP Home. I am accessing a network through a wireless PC Card bus (802.11b). The problem is that when I use the laptop in other locations - not accessing the network - my Wordperfect 11 hangs becauseit is searhing for the network printer. The network printer is not the default. I want to set two hardware profiles - one when the laptop is on the network, and one for when it is standalone. I need to disable the printer, but I don't want to remove it completely..

Any ideas? hanks

Bill,

I haven't used this feature before but have you tried Hardware Profiles?
You can find it by opening System Properties, switching to Hardware tab
sheet and then clicking the Hardware Profiles button. This sounds like what
you are looking for but as I said I haven't used this feature before.

I hope this helps and let me know if it worked,
