Hi,

If I have a windows file directory full of *.msg files that I want to
load/manipulate/re-save, how can I determine the *type* of msg file it
is?

For example, if 1.msg is in a file directory, how can I figure out if
its an email, contact, calendar entry, etc.?

Thanks!

You can do this by opening the message in a simple text or HEX editor like
NotePad or UltraEdit. In a the gibberish you'll get now look for "I P M"
(yes, with spaces in between. What follows next is the type of message
Note = E-mail
StickyNote = Note
