Hi, all.

I'd like to quickly deploy specific (security) hotfixes on a corporate LAN
comprised of W2K machines. Is there a way to do that given that I have only
a Windows NT4 DC and W2K servers that aren't domain controllers and Active
Directory is not installed (hence no GPO)?

Thanks in advance.

How about a logon script that runs the patch from a network location.
You could use the NT4 system policy to run the script

Hi, Alex.

Doesn't the login script use the interactive user's credentials to execute?
If so then I have a problem because patches must be applied under admin
rights and all our users are mostly ordinary users.

I'm not sure for NT4 system policy . Got to be worth a try

What about a startup script then , as that can't use any users credentials?
