Karlos

my camera puts the date on automatically and I don't want
it!!!
It spoils perfectly good photo's.
Can I remove the date afterwards (it doesn't show on the
thumbnail only when being viewed full)?
Thank you for your help.

Karl

Just set the recording of the date and time to OFF. Look in you camera
manual. This option is usually listed under the Effect selection of the
camera menu and you can turn this option ON or OFF.

You can't remove it afterwards since it is part of the picture. One thing
you can do is use photo editing software with various tools to remove
blemishes, clone over it, etc. and in effect erase the date out of the
picture. It can be done very fast if, for example, the date is on a portion
of clear blue sky, or on a white wall. Or it can be very tedious if it is
located on a complex pattern in the photo.
Some recent software that can do this: Adobe Photoshop Elements 2 or
Microsoft Picture It 9.
Both around $50.00 with the usual mail in rebates.
