I have a email with a 134MB attachement that seems to be stuck in the
Outbox. I've tried deleting it, but it won't delete. It also seems to be
backing up additional messages insofar as NOTHING appears to be going out
now.

Is there some way to force a delete?

-Set Outlook in Offline mode; File-> Work Offline
-Restart Outlook
-Delete the message
-Set Outlook back On-line

Here's what we did. We have Outlook 2000 on a LAN at work. We had a user that had a message stuck in the outbox. When we tried to delete it, we received a message that the message we were trying to delete was being spooled. Then Outlook would lock up. Using Task Manager we stopped Outlook, started it back up. Then we went to Tools>Services and chose the user then clicked Properties and changed the Connection to Manual then Apply, OK and closed Outlook. Then we disconnected the network cable from the computer and did a restart. Started Outlook, deleted the message from the Outbox, reconfigured Outlook connection back to LAN, closed Outlook, plugged the network cable back in and restarted the computer. Outlook now works fine. I would think if someone were on a dial-up all they would need to do is make sure the connection was set to manual and unplug the phone line into the modem. The key is to not have Outlook automatically to a send/receive on start-up. On a LAN, it doesn't seem to matter whether or not Outlook is configured to dial-up, it can "see" the internet connection.
