By accident I used the @ sign in a cell of EXcel 2007. Now whatever I want
to enter in that particular cell turns into an e-mail address, i.e.
underlined and blue. I tried to use the Hyperlink Help page "Create, select,
edit, or delete a hyperlink" but nothing works. Pls. give me an idea how to
clear the cell for proper data. Thks.

Hi Ellen,
right click in the mouse in the cell where the hyperlink is and last option
is remove hyperlink
Hope this help

Hi,

In 2007, right-click the cell and choose Remove Hyperlink.

If you enter another entry in that cell, or any cell, which Excel interprets
as a hyperlink it will redo it as a hyperlink. In other words when you
choose Remove Hyperlink it is only doing it for the current entry.

I also have a vague recollection that 2007 had problems in this area before
SP1. So make sure you have installed service pack 1. You can check by
pressing Alt+1 picking Resources and checking the bottom line for "SP1"
