How do I created cuved text, like an arch, in Powerpoint?

I would like to create a title that curves like an arch in Powerpoint. I
remeber being able to do this in WordArt in Word a long time ago, but I can't
figure out how in PPT 2007. Any ideas?

On the ribbon click Insert, on the WordArt styles group click WordArt
button, type your text, on the format contextual tab click the text effects
button, choose transform, you will find your arch there.
 
Which is the contextual text tab? I could not find "transform" anywhere, and
the help system didn't help me find either "transform" or "contextual text
tab".
 
Hi Kate

Make sure you have the WordArt selected then you should see a new tab (the
contextual one) called Format (it has the words Drawing Tools written above
that should be highlighted in a different colour). On this tab is a section
called WordArt Styles and in that section is a drop down arrow next to Text
Effects - that's where the Transform command can be found.

If you're still having trouble post back & I'll do a screenshot :-)

searching for this Arched Word Art Text. Found it now. Marvellous. Now in my
owm PPT tips. Thank you Luc and Lucy.

Excellent :-) Keep your eye out for those contextual tabs as that's where
all the fun stuff is - and be aware sometimes you get more than one (e.g.
charts, smart art)

Hello - the wordart is boring in 2007 as it is all one style - just capital
letters. How do I get all the many different wordart styles into 2007
powerpoint like we had in the 2003 powerpoint?
 
Insert your Word Art and make sure that word art text is selected
In the new "drawing tools" ribbon that opens, click on the "format" tab
Locate the "word art styles" group
Click the "text effects" button
Choose "transform"

Thanks! I found it. So after playing around with all the feature for few
minutes, I find that I can create all the styles from PP 2003! But I have to
craft each design, fill, shading, 3D, angling, style, etc, etc, etc. So you
are absolutely correct no doubt about it. However,

the PP 2003 had all that work predone and I could select many styles at
will. So while my artistic license is actally greatly expanded, the ability
to grab a premade font in not so quick. It is faster for me on my routine
work to grab a PP 2003 style and import. But when I need to create the art
wonder of the day or the week and can play around with all the features, yes
I can create some funky stuff to wow, panache and pizazz as needed!! thanks -

You can quickly apply formatting using the Quick Styles Gallery on Drawing
Tools Format tab in the WordArt Styles area. Just click the arrows next to
the big As to scroll through your options or expand the gallery. Choose one
of those for a start, then go in and do your transforming.
