How Do I Create Columns of Flowing Text

Newbie Question! How can I create a 3 column layout of flowing text on a
page? I want to set a maximum height for the table, but if the page is
resized, the text will flow through the columns. Suggestions?
 
My immediate response was
You can't.

Maybe, like all things, there is way but it could be quite complicated. So
to a newbie, I would say, try some other way of presenting the text.

Please anyone, feel free to disagree if you can think of an easy way to do
it.
 
Can't be done in any practical way. It just doesn't work like that.
