I went through the form properties and it displays the a dialog box "please
enter abc as the password", which obviously defeats the purpose of a password
form. Can someone please let me know how to go around this?

Assuming you're hosted on a windows server:

A subweb is an independant website contained within a website. A subweb
will have its own set of FrontPage shared borders, navigation structure,
unique permissions. Also, any corruption of the extensions in the subweb
will not affect any other subweb, or the root web, which makes subwebs very
useful for FTP operations.

Subwebs are only available on servers supporting FrontPage extensions, but
not every host allows them.

More information in FrontPage Help - in FP2003 see the section "About
creating a Web site"

Thanx, Ronx

My server does not support FPSE, so I have to give up any thought of using
subwebs

Tom,
I also have issues with password ect and will be giving this a try.
Can you tell me where FP stores the names... that you include as safe to
view the page?
How many names can you add to the "Safe List"?

FP permissions are stored encrypted on the server (not accessible by you)
- if you need lots of users, then use a Database and server side coding

What do you consider a lot.
I'm thinking I only need 20-30 names which I assume does not require a
database.
My question, as to How Many, is just a question of curiosity.

The number will depend on how many you consider to be to many to manage or have to re-create if the
server crashes or you need to switch web host, etc.
