How do I create a second contact list in Outlook 2003?

Can anybody help???
I want to create a second contact list in Outlook 2003 that I can use as a
mailing list for use by a charity.
The source file is in Excel 2003 and I am hoping to import about 1000
addresses.
If it is not possible, can anyone suggest an inexpensive or free saoftware
alternative?

Did you try File | New | Folder?

Actually, you don't need even that. Just use the Excel sheet as the data
source for a mail merge in Word.
