How do I create a "master" page that gets applied to everything?

Is there an easy way to create one "master" formatted page and "apply" it to
the remaining pages in my web?

I initially set up a template and then when I created a new page, I copied
it and renamed it. So when I wanted to change the basic structure to the
page, I had to go into each page one-by-one and change it. When I had a few
pages, it wasn't a problem. Now my web is growing a bit and it is kind of
tedious.

How do I do this? Ideally, I'd like to be able to change one "master" page,
and have all of the sub-pages "inherit" the changes whenever I wanted to
change the format. Is this possible?

Thanks for any pointers.

Wait and upgrade to FP2003, not possible in FP2000/2002.

Not quite what you asked for ... but:
Here's what I have done in the past with both FP and Dreamweaver. (I don't
use themes or shared borders..... never have, never will). This only works
if a site is always going to be relatively small.
I make a page (more or less a "template") that hopefully contains just about
everything that all my other pages will probably need as well. Then I SAVE
AS each of the other pages such as myphotos.htm, mytravels.htm,
contactme.htm etc.. After I've made these basic pages I have to go back thru
and establish the links and add the content. Tedious, yes, but it has worked
for small sites. And you can always copy and paste this typre of navigation
links at the bottom of pages:
~ HOME ~ THE LODGE & SUITES ~ VACATION HOMES ~ RATES ~ GROUPS ~
~ FOUR SEASONS OF FUN ~ DIRECTIONS & MAP ~ HORSE BOARDING ~
~ FARM ANIMALS ~ PHOTOS ~ FAQ ~ CONTACT ~
ETC

What about using the find and replace feature. I use that a lot when I make
global changes, i.e., add a new link into a menu, a new gif in a boarder,
especially when I add a news release into a drop down menu that is in 120+
pages.

No - FP 2002 is part of MSO XP (there is no FPXP)
