I have a high-speed cable hookup from Comcast and have 2 e-mail accounts set up in their system. (They said I can have up to 6.) The Outlook e-mail account that the cable guy set up works fine, but when I create a second account, it doesn't pass the self-test.
Can I set up a second Outlook e-mail account with a different name on the same PC?

First have the new eMail account setup with your ISP. Then be sure you have the correct POP and SMTP servers typed in. The next thing to check is that you have the correct account name and password. If all this has been done it should give you a second (and any amount more accounts) for you in Outlook. For privacy you can also setup seperate eMail profiles so when a person wants to check their eMail they would login under their profile and have all seperate folders etc. that only they can see all their eMails, contacts, Calender etc.. To set this up go to the Control Panel, then Mail, then click on Show Profiles. In this window you can setup any number of new profiles so that when you open Outlook it will ask for which profile you want to use and then any password that may (or may not) be setup for that particular profile.
