I am trying to copy internet explorer page to PowerPoint
to create a slide show and I am not having any luck. I
have tried saving it in every format that I know but I
cant go to insert, picture, from file and get it to copy
to PowerPoint. I am running XP with IE6 SP1.

do you need a "picture" of that website or do you need it "live" in your
presentation (the latter is a bit more complicated to achieve, but it can be
done, too).

If you just need a picture of the IE6 screen, press the "Print" key on your
keyboard, it will copy the screen into the clipboard. In PowerPoint choose
"Edit - Paste special" and insert it in the desired format (e.g. JPG).
Please don't just use "Edit - Paste", your PowerPoint files might get very
large using that method.

Kind regards,
Ute

You need to do a screen shot of the web page you are browsing. Press Alt +
Print Screen and then go to an image editing application (Microsoft Paint,
or Photo Editor, etc.) and paste into a new image. Save it as JPG or PNG
and then use Insert > Picture > Picture from File in PowerPoint.
