how do I convert Outlook automatic double space to single space?

when i compose an email in Outlook, it is automatically double spaced, which
I don't want. how do I convert Outlook automatic double space to single space?

Are you composing in HTML format? Use Shift-Enter for a single space.
Shift-Enter generates a <br> (line break) while Enter generates a <p>
(paragraph).
