How do I convert .MOD files

My Digital Camcorder downloads files as .MOD files, Does anyone know the
simplest way to convert them so I can use moviemaker. I have tried Movavi but
it doesn't convert .MOD's. I also have NERO 7.
Any help will be much appreciated.

They should be MPEGs with a different extension.
Try changing extension to .mpg.
They should then open but Movie Maker may have difficulty with them.
You may need 3rd party software to convert to something MM recognises.
