I am wanting to work on my computer at work that is
running windows 98 from my home computer running XP home
ed. I want to use my dial up internet connection at home
(do to long distance charges) and either dial into the
one at work or go through the internet connection that is
networked to my office.

Thanks for any help.

It may be possible - but it depends on the setup at work and what your
IT people will allow... It is possible to use a technology like VNC
at the office (which supports Windows 98) and you could remote control
the server. The hard part of the configuration depends on how your
office connects to the Internet. If there is a firewall/router, then
it must be configured to allow you access to your machine. This is
typically done by an IT staff member, so you will want to coordinate
with them.

It's just a small bisseness. All PC's networked together
with the main one as the host. It is running XP Pro. The
internet connection is dial-up for now (not always
connected-gets kicked off or lockes up). I want something
that so I can use internet connection at home and dial in
to the PC in my office. Is this posable?

www.realvnc.com -- install the server part on your work machine and you can
use the client from a remote computer (your home). It is pretty easy to use
and works acceptably over dial up.
