How do I connect automatically when I turn on my computer?

I have been trying fix this by placing my connection-icon i the autostart
folder on the start button, nothing happend. Does anyone know of a way to
solve this? Why doesn't it work the way I tried?

Connected to what? The internet via a broadband connection or a dial-up
connection or a LAN? At least give us some more details and a description
of the problem. ;-)

Sorry! I meant a connection via ADSL to the Internet. And if it isn't
possible to connect, shouldn't it be possible to put the icon of my standard
connection (found on Start-menue in "Connect to") in the autostart folder?
