I have setup SUS server on a win2k domain controller with SP4. All my
workstations are win2k pro with SP4.

My question is : do i need to install the SUS client software on my
workstations ?

One more thing. When i tried running the SUS client setup on a workstation,
it gives me a message "Microsoft Windows Update Auto Update requires Windows
2000 SP2 or Windows XP". I dont understand why it gives this message while i
already have SP4 installed on the workstations. Do i need to uninstall SP4
and reinstall SP2 to make it work ?

Also, on the domain controller, i dont see any additional policies in the
GPO editor to set different options for SUS. For example, in the SUS
deployment giude, there is a snapshot of a policy "Specify intranert
Microsoft update service location". i couldnt find this policy in the GPO
editor ?

where do i find it ?

Please help ...

Thanks ..

Only your server needs the SUS.
Make sure all your workstations have SP2 or later...

and for you GPO, you need to add a policy to a group, in your AD, and in
this policy you'll have to add a new modele which is called "wuau". With
that you'll be able to specify to your workstation how to deal with it.
