How do I configure my PC to wake when an extender (Xbox 360) tries to access shared multimedia?

I would like my Xbox 360 to automatically wake my PC from Sleep Mode
whenever it tries to access shared music, pictures, or videos from the
dashboard or by launching Media Center. I am not interested in keeping my PC
in Away Mode. If there is anyway to configure my PC to wake up when it
detects an incoming network request for a multimedia share from my Xbox 360?
My internet security suite is Norton 360.

In general, you are looking for a feature called "wake on LAN" to be
turned on on your network card / system. You might need to tweak
hardware and software settings to get it to work. I have no idea how
well supported it is in Vista but it worked on Win 2000, 2003, etc.

The issue I always had for it was boot time. It was nice that it
kicked up automatically but sitting there waiting for boot was
annoying. Also, the xbox may or may not want to wait around for the
boot.

Hi
Look at the Computers BIOS there might be an Entry to wake the computer on
LAN Traffic.
In addition look at the Network Card Drivers there should be there a similar
entry.
Switch both to On.
