how do i combine MP3 sounds with powerpoint to make a movie?

I have a podcast and the powerpoint presentation that went with it. How do I
combine the two? I am happy to record the slide transitions in real time, but
would prefer to have a single, rather than linked output file.

Interesting question.

If the PPT doesn't have animations that are critical to making sense of things,
you could

- Save the presentation as a series of images
- Use Windows Movie Maker to marry the images to the sound track (timed more
accurately than PPT could do it, in fact)
- Save as a movie file in a resolution/framing rate appropriate to your needs.
