I have a pst file on an older laptop. I would like to combine the calendar
information with the data on my newer computer.

Yes, that's the same question I have.

I can get the old .pst into my new Outlook, but can't get Outlook to merge
the two calendars, or point automaticaly to the old calendar. I am able to
switch to it manually. Contacts and Tasks seem to be ok.

Copy the .pst file to the new computer. Use File->Open to access it.
Display your calendar in a table view (categories is good for this) and then
select all and drag and drop them to your preferred calendar.
