How do I clear the clipboard?

Hi. My computer at work is slow, and if I copy and paste a picture from one
paint application to another, it really bogs it down, and it continues to be
bogged down even after I close the paint programs. How do I clear the
picture from the memory/clipboard? Since it's not an internet page, I assume
clearing the internet cache won't help. I have to restart the computer to
get it back up to speed. Is there a separate cache that can be accessed and
cleared? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can run clipbrd.exe, then click Edit/Delete.
