I have activated an XP client under a customer who decided they didn't want the pc, so I have installed the drive on another pc and sold it but the name it's still showing the old activated name. I didn't register it under his name, just activated, I changed the user names but still when ever I do any windows based user required work it shows the old name. I tried doing it under my computer systems in the id area, it says it is a system file and cannot be changed. Any ideas before I wreck the registry?
Thanks
