I just got new computer with Microsoft XP and I have
excel, and office. ON old computer I used works . Does
anyone know how I can get these documents to open
properly. Please email me at (e-mail address removed)

Can you please clarify. Which computer has what software?

If you have Words on Old computer and Office on New computer, then when
you move the files from Old to New, Office software should read the
Works files ok. You just need to ensure that you have the right file
filters installed on the New computer. If not, re-run the setup for
Office on New computer and pick to install the Works filters.

Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.

There are file conversion programs on the Microsoft Office
downloads page, these will allow Office programs to open
different versions of WORKS files. Or if the old computer
still runs, you can use the ""file/save as" menu to convert
the files to a format that is native to WORD and Excel.

For WORKS word change .wps to .doc or .rtf. For WORKS
spreadsheet change .wks to .xls or .csv. If you use the
WORKS database, change .wdb to .csv.
