How do I change the spreadsheet column labels in Excel

How do I change the spreadsheet column labels in Excel from A B C D E F etc
to names that I want to type. Do I copy and paste to Access?
 
You can't change the column labels in Excel. They're either letters, or
numbers.

You can add your headings in the first row, then freeze that row so it's
always visible.

To freeze the first row, select row 2
Then, choose Window>Freeze Panes
