D Debra Dalgleish Oct 28, 2004 #2 You can't change the column labels in Excel. They're either letters, or numbers. You can add your headings in the first row, then freeze that row so it's always visible. To freeze the first row, select row 2 Then, choose Window>Freeze Panes
