When I print my labels the text always appears in the center of the label,
how do I change the position of the text so that the text appears in the
upper left hand corner when printing?

When you use the Labels dialog, Word creates a table whose cells match
the size of the labels. That table automatically gets the text
alignment of "left, center". To change that, use the New Document
button in the dialog instead of the Print button. In the resulting
document, select the table, right-click, and choose the "left, top"
alignment before printing it.

Unfortunately, there is no way to make the Label dialog default to
this alignment without also messing up the label-size match.

An alternative would be to use the dialog to create an empty table
(just leave the address box empty and click New Document), set the
alignment of the table, and save that document as a template -- in the
File > Save As dialog, set the type to "Document Template (*.dot)".
For all future labels on the same stock, use the File > New command
and choose the template to create the labels.
