I want to change the position of the slide number (Left, Centered or Right)
on the slide, anyone knows how it's done?

The slide number placeholder is available on the master. You can move it
around the slide in the master view and place it at the desired location.

Quoted from Microsoft Manual -
"Format, position, and resize headers and footers
On the View menu, point to Master, and then click the master you want
to change- either the Slide Master, Notes Master, or Handout Master.
On the master, click the header or footer placeholder you want to make
changes to.
Do any of the following:

To resize the placeholder, point to a sizing handle, and when the
pointer becomes a two-headed arrow, drag the handle.
To reposition the placeholder, point to it, and when the pointer
becomes a four-headed arrow, drag the placeholder to a new position.
To add or change a fill color and/or border, on the Format menu, click
Placeholder, click the Colors and Lines tab, and select options under
Fill and Line.
To change the font, on the Format menu, click Font, and select options
in the Font dialog box.
Notes

If you delete any of the header and footer placeholders on the master,
do the following in master view: On the Formatting menu, click Master
Layout, and then under Placeholders, select the check box for the
deleted placeholder.
Changes you make to the handout master will also appear when you print
your presentation in outline view.
"

Hope this can help!

Use View - Master
Insert a Textbox where you want to display the slide number.
Now Insert slide number (you see the cardinal inside the text box)
Now Click Draw and choose the alignement that you want to the text box.
Come back to the normal view and the slide number is in the position of the
text box from the slide master.
