How do I change the icon for a hard drive in explorer?

Some time back, a program I installed decided to place its own icon in
place of the regular "hard disc" icon one usually sees when opening
explorer, then when I uninstalled the offending program, I was left
with the "dos" or generic or whatever icon. I haven't been able to
discover how to change this icon. Right-clicking gets me nowhere,
I've tried all the Administrative Tools menus, etc., etc.

Not a real big problem, I know, but it is now officially bugging me.
Any help would be appreciated.
