I just took over a position at my job. I am using her computer. I need
to
know how to change the outlook setup on the website so that it will
have my
new business email instead of hers. Please help. Thank you.
"outlook setup on the website"
What does that mean?
Outlook is not a web server. If the address needs to be changes that is
published in your web site then you'll have to edit the pages proffered
by that web server. Nothing to do with Outlook.
If you are asking about changing the e-mail address announced by the
account defined in Outlook (i.e., what gets put in the From header of
your outbound e-mails) then go into the e-mail accounts defined in
Outlook and change the e-mail and username fields to whatever you want.
However, if you are sending e-mails out through an Exchange server, be
aware that whatever you configure in Outlook as your username and e-mail
address can be overridden at the mail server. The company doesn't care
what you might want to personally claim is your e-mail address, like you
wanting to get replies to your personal Hotmail account. They want you
sending as *their* employee so they will insert your recorded e-mail
address.
Usually when a new employee gets a computer previously used, they should
be wiping it clean with the standard image used by that company. They
will save what is on the hard drive and reimage it. If the employee
saved any company-related documents on the hard drive then it can be
retrieved from the saved image. The employee should be saving company
important or critical documents up on a network file server.
