How do I change the default area code in Outlook/contacts?

When I create a new contact and don't enter an area code, Outlook enters one
for me. Unfortunately, it's the wrong area code.

BTW, I DID search Outlook Help and the MS Knowledge Base before posting this
question. <grin>

Outlook will enter the area code which you specified as the default dialing
location for your operating system.
