How do I change my download manager

I installed a download accelerator and then deleted it. Now I cant get anything to download
 
Which download manager did you download? Some have spyware
and are hard to delete. SpyBot Search&Destroy will remove
them. But as you've found out some make changes in IE, too.

I like Fresh Download from Freshdevices.org

Check your settings in IE/Tools/Internet Options.

Reinstall DAP and uncheck "Browser integration". This automatically unassociates their download hook and uses IE's default download manager. Then, uninstall DAP (don't just delete it)
