Here's the issue:
I had someone come from Cox Tech Services and clean off my hard drives and
reinstall Windows. It took him 3 1/2 hours to get everything done.
Before cleaning, he moved a lot of programs and files to one of those memory
sticks that fit directly into a USB port. Everything is working fine now
(I'd forgotten how fast even an old XP can run) except fonts. (For
Spellcheck, I took the suggestions posted on this NG and downloaded Spell
Checker for OE7. Thanks for the much-appreciated tips on how to bring a
spellchecker to MS Office 7 Home & Student. I'm a lousy typist and need a
spellchecker.)
Getting the fonts like I want them is the one issue left to be corrected.
I've gone to Control Panel and then Fonts, selected my font, and end up with
a font that must be 6 points, maybe 4. The titles under my icons on my
desktop almost need a magnifying glass to be read. I've also gone to
Control Panel and then Display - zip.
I've also gone to my individual email addresses and chosen fonts and sizes.
When I open an email address to send someone something, it opens with that
tiny font. People respond to my emails with comments about how hard it is
to read such small fonts.
Suggestions?
Thanks for the informative, educational, and assisting posts here.
