How do i change font to subscript?

Hi Stan,

You can select Font from the Format menu, or if you select Customize from
the Tools menu and then go to the Commands tab and select the Format
Category, you will find buttons for superscript and subscript that you can
click on and drag onto the toolbar to facilitate the operation.

As Doug says, if you need to do this often, you might want toolbar buttons.
But you can also use keyboard shortcuts: Ctrl+= toggles Subscript on and
off, and Ctrl+Shift+= toggles Superscript. These properties are also
available through the Format | Font dialog.
