I would like to change the mapping of certain keys and shortcuts. Is this
possible in Outlook 2003?

For example, can I assign my own macro to Ctrl+D or the delete key?

No, Outlook doesn't have any mechanism for reassigning keys. The best you can to is put a macro in the toolbar and add an accelerator so you can run it with Alt+.

Hey Sue,

I have been successful adding several macros to toolbar. I can access them
by the default "ALT + 1", "ALT + 2", "ALT + 3", "ALT + 4".

I don't like this as the shortcuts are different in every office program.
Is there a way to assign them a letter? Like "ALT + E"?

THanks,
DD

You cannot assign custom keyboard shortcuts for Outlook actions, like you
can in Word. As Sue said, whatever _ accelerator keys are available in the
menus plus the internal keyboard shortcut commands are all you have to work
with.
