I have added a video clip and it is a back view of a nude man dancing. I want
to cover up the but in the video somehow so when the video plays eveything
will be seen except the but will be covered up. How can I do this. Every time
I insert something over the but it end up behind the video when it plays and
the but is exposed. I need the but to stay covered up through the entire
video. How can I do this?

Chris,

Unfortunately powerpoint plays 'media' (or a video clip in your case) on top
of it's own content.

Even if you send the video clip back to the 'bottom' (excuse the pun)...when
the clip plays it will still be on top of your content.

What you need to do is edit the video in some video editing software to
either 'crop' the video or apply a blur/pixelated effect to the area you
want to cover up.

As TAJ says the best answer is to use a video editor to censor the original.
However you can also try this:

Show the control toolbox (view menu > toolbars>control toolbox) and use it
to add a suitable sized image holder (the last but one icon) You can place it
in the correct place and change its color by right clicking > properties>back
color

ActivX images will show in front of the video and mask it

You can add the Text box (ActiveX control) over the video clip to cover the
video. Do the following:
1. Select "View" | "Toolbars" | "Control Toolbox" menu item to make the
Control Toolbox toolbar visible.
2. Select "Text Box" shape from this toolbar.
3. Place it on the slide over the portion of the video.

Now when you start the slide show, the text box will continue covering the
video clip.
