how do i bring the chapters of a book together into a single file

I have saved individual chapter of a book as individual files in a single
folder How can I bring these together for headings and page numbers etc

The easiest way would be to combine the chapters into a single file. But
assuming that you want to keep them as separate files, you can use RD
