Hi, I'm kind of a newer database (self taught) developer. I was wondering if
there were ways of highlighting specific words/phrases in an access database
or report. For instance, we have a report that we would need any instance of
the word "Note" be bolded/highlighted. Is there way to write code that will
do that in either the report or Form or wherever? Thanks in advance for any
help.

You can put it in a separate text box, with Bold selected in the Properties,
or you can use a "Rich Text Box" to display it (which will accept
formating), or you can obtain a freely downloadble control from Stephen
Lebans' website, http://www.lebans.com, if you are using Access 2003 or
earlier; or you can switch to Access 2007, which has enhanced formatting for
text boxes.

Access 2003 and earlier versions allow formatting of only an entire standard
Text Box, but there are Rich Text ActiveX controls available from Microsoft
in various other products, usable with Access, and from third-party sources,
but I like the price of Stephen Lebans' free control best of all.
