Ok I have outlook 2007, I need to block a person and make sure they know that
I'm blocking them, such as a auto reply. I've been reading some of the posts
and still don't know how to do it, Sorry. Yes, this will work for me it's not
for spam mail it's for a person that I want them to know that I don't want
their e-mail and it's automaticaly blocked. It may need to be reversed at a
later point, but I want them to know I do have the control of this. HOW DO I
DO THIS? or Can it be done in outlook 2007?

You can add their name to the Blocked Senders list but that won't send mail
back to the person in question. You could create a rule specifically for
this person that deletes the email item and replies.

Create a rule to delete all mail from this person. If your mail provider
offers rules you can set up online, do it there instead of in outlook. This
way they are deleted as soon as its delivered to your mailbox, not when
outlook gets it.

You could add an action to autoreply but I think its better to send the
person a note yourself and tell them you do not want them contacting you and
that you will delete all messages from them without reading.

The thing with sending them the auto reply is that they know I'm not reading
it and it's done right when they send it to me and they get it while they are
still online. Oh and I hit the notify me of replies at the bottom of the
form. Anyway, I got an email saying that someone replied but I opened the
link and there was nothing that came up.

So then I started tring to figure this site out and then finally got to my
account editor and got answers that I've asked for the last couple of years.
Why isn't it easier to find the answers as it is to post the question?

So I sent the question again and TOM just answered it saying it can't be
done and saying that no matter how many times I ask it will be the same
answer. I sorrta KNOW that. replying that I never got the answer, he is very
rude. So I really want to thank you Diane for being nice about this.
Thank-you

Do yourself a BIG favour and ditch the horrible web interface. Use a
news reader instead.
