how do i backup all my messages

im going to be wiping my computer of everything and i want
to be able to save my inbox, sent items, and other folders
to CD so i can import it later. how can i do this? I
looked in the help file and it tells how to compact the
folders but i dont know what that did. I can goto export
messages but it exports them somewere were i cant find
them. Were does outlook put the files at? thanks alot.

Outlook holds ALL its data in a file called (usually) outlook.pst.
sDo a search for *.pst. If you are using XP or W2K then you will need to
enable hidden and system files and folders in your search. (Go to Advanced
search Options)
Then copy to CD!
