I need to backup and transfer data from Access 97. I was
advised to copy them from MDB files. Can anyone please
tell me where exctly are those MDB files located and if I
can simply copy them and then drop them in a corresponding
folder in another computer to work with the same data from
two different PCs. Also can I copy data from Access 97 to
use in a later version of Access, say 2003? Many thanks.

Well, we cannot see your computer. Use Windows Explorer to find your MDB
files. If the files are located on a network drive, you will need to
access the mapped drive in Windows Explorer or use Network Neighborhood to
find the server and then drill-down to the folder in which the file or files
are located.

Yes. If your databases involve the use of Linked Tables, you may need to
use Linked Table Manager to re-link the tables from their new location.

Yes, and you can also convert the data to 2003 format.
