Another option is to install the "Microsoft Outlook Backup Tool"

Note "Applies to" but *others* have said it works with Outlook 2007.
It adds a "Backup" option to the "File" menu. CAUTION: You have to
designate a backup path/location, in [Options], for EACH PST you have;
example, Outlook.pst & Archive.pst would require setting backup locations
for each.
Of course, you cannot backup a PST that is in use, so the actual backup is
done when you close Outlook. The nice thing about using the Backup Tool,
is you can schedule when to automatically backup (I use 3 days).
Also suggest you consider backup to a location NOT on your desktop. Where
I work I use my folder on our Fileserver.
