I have a 2007 PPTX presentation that has numerous slides with heavy custom
animations on each slide. The problem that I'm having is that when click
advance to transition to the next slide, the exit animation sequence absorbs
the click, but requires a second click (after the exit effects have run
completely) to really advance. Is there a setting that will provide that
"second-click" after the last annimation effect has ran?
Any suggestions would be helpful.

aaronanderson,

I don't believe this is possible (i wish it was)...

your right the 1st click stops (or gets to the end of) the current
animation, and a 2nd click is required to advance the slide.

It's tough to do this. Well, it's not really *that* hard -- it's just hard
to explain, and you have to think through it when you set it up.

Basically, you need to build the final slide, then duplicate it and remove
the last animation. Put this duplicate slide first. Remove the initial
animations from the final slide, so all you have is the last animation. So
you have 1 slide with most of the animation, then a 2nd slide with the final
animation.

Set the animation on the 2nd slide to happen automatically. Now when you
click the first slide for the final animation, it's actually moving to the
next slide.

Nice trick, Avshalom. Thanks for posting it!

I had the same problem and solve it like that:
1. Create the animation you want (I used an object click to trigger it)
2. Add transparent object to the animation to appear after the animation
3. Insert action to the transparent object - on "Mouse over" - to go to
the desired slide. the object may be rectangle of the entire slide or
similar to the trigger object.

The outcome: the object appear after the animation and only then any
little movement of the mouse will trigger the transition.

Note: I heard that full transparent object may not work - but it works for
me (Office 2010) - if that the case - make it 99% transparent...

Good luck
