How do I attach a .tiff without converting to .jpeg?

I just got Windows 7 and MS Office 2007. I receive faxes to my scan folder on
my desktop in .tiff format. I need to often email these documents and my
Outlook is now converting to .jpeg. If the document is multiple pages only
the original is accessible to the receiver. How can I make Outlook either
leave the document as a .tiff or convert to .pdf?
Thank you.

Outlook does not convert any file automatically.
Which method of forwarding these scans are you using and at what exact point
do they get converted for you?
Do you have any add-ins installed which could do this?

I've never had OL2002 or OL2003 do the conversion of which you speak, but
then I never have them resize my attachments. See the following:

Maybe the resizing is using JPEG to allow for compression in a known format.

If you want to convert a document to a .pdf file but don't have Adobe's
pricey Acrobat product, get a PDF printer. This works as a printer where
you print from your application to create a .pdf file. PDFCreator and
BullZip PDF Printer are both good and both are free.
